What is the history and popularity of the app?

My Life Rank is a relatively new application that is still in beta. The creators wanted to build a tool that was not only entertaining, but also motivational. Through social interactions, users can accomplish goals, set them for others and earn credibility through points accumulated on the My Life Rank website. My Life Rank has noted the planned addition of a mobile version for iPhones, Android phones and Blackberries in the near future.

What are the differences to other apps?

The concept of social networking is far from new, although it is hugely popular. What really makes My Life Rank stand out is the goal setting aspect of the site. Users can find inspiration and motivation to set and meet goals, from very simple to more involved activities. The application gives them a way to socialize while achieving something.

Alternative Apps
How does the web app look and feel to use?

My Life Rank greets visitors with a vibrant dusk cityscape header and hints of bright yellow, blue, pink and more. The site design has a rich personality all its own that is still easy to navigate. Newcomers can easily locate the basic navigational tools as soon as they arrive, from the search bar to the sign up button or the location search feature.

How does the registration process work?

New users can click the bright yellow “Start now” button found on the homepage to begin. The registration form can be found along the right hand side of the following page. The form asks for a first and last name, email address, username, gender, start location, date of birth, password and mobile number. Some of the information is not required (such as the mobile number and date of birth), so overall the form is relatively short. After entering the information, users can click the yellow “Start now” button at the bottom of the form to finish.

What does it cost to use the application?

My Life Rank is just like any other social network. It does better when there are more people participating. Luckily, the site is available to anyone for free. There are no sign up fees or subscription charges associated with My Life Rank. Of course it is important to note that the site is still in beta so this could change at any time. There is no indication that a paid membership will be offered in the future at this time.

Who would you recommend the application to?

My Life Rank is a tool for anyone who loves social networking. It provides users with a new way to set and reach goals, from very basic every day tasks to something long term. My Life Rank has a lot of potential to help many people grow through goals while meeting others on the internet.
